Cultivating next generation leaders and encouraging cultural consciousness on topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion among current leaders is crucial to the success of any field in the nonprofit sector. Intentionally-designed leadership programs can be catalysts not only for recruiting and retaining new diverse talent in the field but for building dynamic ecosystems that grow organizations’ work and networks. Join the discussion with Americans for the Arts’ Diversity in Arts Leadership internship (DIAL); the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development’s Community in the Capital; and National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders’ Pete Garcia Community Economic Development Fellowship Program on building and sustaining leadership development programs, and providing real-world career experience for future leaders in a shared journey towards equity.
