Brianna Sas-Pérez is committed to community development and the flourishing of just, equitable neighborhoods where people thrive. She does this in part through her work at Layton Boulevard West Neighbors (LBWN), a non-profit community development corporation strengthening diverse, vibrant and healthy neighborhoods in Milwaukee, WI. LBWN believes inclusiveness and opportunity are vital for sustainable neighborhoods and fosters this by uniting, equipping and inspiring people to invest in their community through a focus on housing, economic development and community building initiatives. Brianna graduated from Calvin College with an interdisciplinary degree in art and engineering, and without intentions of being an artist or engineer. In her work today, Brianna collaborates with her coworkers to ensure that all of LBWN’s work aligns with the neighborhood Quality of Life Plan which outlines the community vision and goals.
