Stephanie Co has worked in community development in St. Louis for the past 9 years and has a passion for working to advance equity in cities, whether in housing, education, economic opportunity, health, or transportation. Stephanie currently serves as Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Beyond Housing, a community development organization based in the Normandy School District of North St. Louis County, where she supports operations, housing and infrastructure development projects, and organizational development. Stephanie also leads the organization’s public policy and advocacy efforts, which includes facilitating an Advocacy Council, a group of community residents and volunteers that develops policy priorities and strategies to push education equity, health and economic wellbeing, quality affordable housing, and good governance on a local and state level. She also led a voter mobilization organizing effort in summer 2018 to increase voter education and turnout for the 2018 Primary Elections.
Previously, Stephanie has led community health, neighborhood marketing, communications and community outreach efforts for various community development organizations. Stephanie has also volunteered with a range of affordable housing, education, food access, and transportation projects, boards, and committees, and is currently a board member of Community Builders Network of Metropolitan St. Louis and Citizens for Modern Transit. Stephanie earned her BA at Washington University in St. Louis.
